The photo's you are looking at here are right after we purchased the farm. The big oak tree growing on the house roof is now gone. It was dying and dangerously close to the house.  The beginning of a work in progress.

This area is the beginning of a new butterfly garden directly in front of the house across the drive.

T'he old orchard trees were so grown over we couldn't even see them until we walked through all the overgrowth. We did our initial clearing and have now pruned, cleared, and seeded the area.

This is the original settlers cabin as we found it. It will be looking quite different come this fall.

As you can see most of the old paint is gone. We are adding new windows, a brick foundation, and of course a brand new paint job and placing shutters at all the windows. We are having the front porch rebuilt.

The lean to addition on the right was the old bathroom. The roof leaked for over 20 years and could not be salvaged. It is being torn off with a new 2 story addition to house two new bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs. The downstairs portion of the addition will house a library and an additional master suite. The entire back porch has to be rebuilt. The old freezer on the porch suprisingly works and is being moved to a new home.

The central hall and staircase as we found it.

An old tractor shed that will be rebuilt and now used for storing firewood. To the right is an old arbor over a stone goldfish pond. It was badly overgrown and has been pruned back.

This kitchen was redone about 25 years ago with a vaulted ceiling and exposed beams.

I am adding new cabinets, appliances, hardwood floors, a center island and new countertops.

This room is the keeping room directly in front of the kitchen. The paneling is coming down and the floors will be refinished.

You can't miss the new mailbox on Neals Corner Road, turn left on the long drive just past the mailbox. I have a new sign coming soon.
